Third Officer
The Third Officer assists the Chief Officer in the daily supervision of the Deck Department, in accordance with the Master’s standing and special orders. Combine your skills and career at sea to make a positive change in the lives of others. Our ship could be your next great adventure!

Electronics Technician
The Electronics Technician is responsible to maintain and repair all electronic equipment on board, primarily for the safe operation of the ship. You will work to maintain all electronic systems to ensure all crew and patients are safe and able to do their jobs on board our hospital ship.
Available: 28 April to 24 August 2020

12 months minimum commitment (shorter commitments considered)
Field Security Officer
The Field Security Officer works to inform and implement the security plan for off-ship support to include the off-ship facilities and screening security, including interior “up country” screenings. We take safely seriously on and off board. With so many projects, screenings, comings and goings, the security team has a busy schedule!
Available: March 2019 onward
2 years minimum commitment preferred (negotiable)
On Boarding Training
Mercy Ships On Boarding is a six-week training program to prepare new crew and staff for their time of service with Mercy Ships. The On Boarding program consists of the following: Foundations of Mercy Ships (FMS), Support Raising Seminar (SRS), Gateway Course as well as a Field Practice
Cost: For new crew is $1,700 US per participant, for current and alumni crew the cost is $1,300 US per participant. This fee covers the cost of housing, food, course materials, and field practice expenses.
